Things I Found at Wal-Mart

It's been a slow day so I'm going to fill you in on my trip to Wal-Mart this morning. Now everyone knows you usually see interesting things/people at Wal-Mart and this morning was no exception.

#1 I know I already posted a few weeks ago about signs of the eighties coming back (the rattail) but the lady in automotive today was sporting a side ponytail... and not a low side pony (which can be cute) but a full-on high, curly, teased side pony tail.... hmmmm

#2 As I was passing the toy section a little doll caught my eye. "Get in ShapeGirl" comes complete with dumbells and a sweatband. Now, I'm all for kids being healthy, but when I was little I didn't need dumbells to accomplish it. What happend to just playing outside? Running? Jumping rope? I think this is a disturbing statement about our culture.

#3 As an interesting follow up on my thoughts for #2, I resumed my forgotten love affair with Carmel Apple Pop suckers! So yummy..... mmmmm

Carmel? I keep a mile away from anything carmel. Too sticky and too sickly sweet. ;)

Um, I think it's caramel...?

I loved "full on" side ponytail. Classic. I can see it in my mind's eye...and I shudder. :)

uh... ok you're right. I checked the bag. I think I spell it 'carmel' because I say it that way. :)

Now you've made me thirst for a caramel latte.
