Ok, so I subbed for a third grade class yesterday and I had to go on a field trip.
#1 thing I discovered: Field trips are awesome except for the bus ride. Yuck... 100 sweaty kids crammed on a bus with no ventilation.
#2 thing I re-discovered: Third graders are awesome. They were so fun.
For example... when I arrived they were asking me questions like where I lived. I told them I lived in Atascadero (the school was in another small town about 1/2 an hour away). One little boy sighed and said, "Oh man... the kids in Atascadero are SO lucky!"
That made my day... I had no idea Atascadero kids were so lucky to have me! :)

That's so CUTE! And I'm sure they loved you. I remember when I used to work in the afternoons at a preschool with the four year olds, they would never fail to lift my spirits...
